Job Summary

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and upholding the law in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations to protect the public and maintain order
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support criminal cases
  • Testify in court and provide expert testimony as required
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and resources
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Montgomery County, PA
  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check and a physical fitness test
  • Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Working Conditions

Deputy Sheriffs work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. They may be exposed to hazardous situations, including physical confrontations and emergency situations. Deputy Sheriffs must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and the public.
