Intellectual Property Associate / Patent Agent (Chemistry)
McCarter & English, LLP is currently in search of a patent associate specializing in chemistry, holding an advanced degree in the field, for its various office locations.
Applicants are expected to have an advanced degree in organic chemistry or substantial industrial experience, ideally a minimum of five years, in organic chemistry.
Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is considered advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional academic qualifications and have a proven track record in drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to chemistry.In addition to being admitted to at least one State bar, candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D., exhibit outstanding writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, and have experience in drafting and prosecuting chemistry patent applications.
