Position Summary: The Packaging Assistant will engage in various packaging, shipping, and receiving tasks while adhering to CGMP standards. Collaboration, open communication, and a focus on continuous improvement are vital for achieving production and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete necessary manufacturing documentation for packaging and production activities in accordance with SOPs and CGMP regulations.
  • Operate and adjust production machinery using both automatic and manual controls to meet product-specific requirements.
  • Prepare, print, and apply labels for vials, bottles, and boxes as per established SOPs.
  • Execute the packaging process, which includes manually applying caps and labels to vials and boxes before preparing them for shipment.
  • Utilize a semi-automated system to fill and cap 2.5L bottles, apply labels, and manually load boxes.
  • Complete production checklists and conduct in-process sampling as necessary.
  • Finalize documentation for line clearance and product release, including bill of material and yield reconciliation.
  • Receive and organize materials needed for production and ensure proper storage post-production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
  • Prepare products for customer shipment, including palletizing and managing shipping documentation.
  • Receive incoming materials and supplies, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and inspecting for damages.
  • Perform data entry tasks in the ERP system.
  • Assist in the review and revision of documents, proposing improvements to production-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP standards regarding documentation, work areas, and equipment.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
  • Manage time effectively to meet productivity targets.
  • Support manufacturing operations as required.
  • Assist with inventory management and warehouse activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One to two years of experience in manufacturing, particularly in filling, labeling, or packaging operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device sectors.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in email, spreadsheet, word processing, and ERP software is essential for success in this role.
