Job Overview

The Spa Therapist and Esthetician is tasked with delivering exceptional massage, facial, waxing, and body treatment services to guests while also demonstrating leadership capabilities within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with the operational standards of Proper Hospitality.
  • Administer massage, facial, waxing, and body treatments that align with established service protocols and meet guest expectations.
  • Evaluate guest contraindications that may affect service delivery.
  • Prioritize guest satisfaction throughout the service experience.
  • Utilize universal precautions effectively during service provision.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment daily, adhering to CDC guidelines.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of all spa services and products, including their ingredients and benefits, to address guest inquiries professionally.
  • Recommend additional beneficial treatments available at the spa and promote products and services.
  • Ensure timely commencement and conclusion of all treatments.
  • Adhere to assigned schedules, arriving and departing punctually.
  • Keep work areas organized and sanitized according to established procedures.
  • Communicate product needs to the Spa Director or management team.
  • Maintain client records and treatment notes as necessary.
  • Complete all designated side tasks efficiently.
  • Participate in all scheduled meetings and professional development training.
  • Report any incidents or accidents to management promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of Spa Locker and Fitness Rooms as required.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid state license in massage therapy with a minimum of 750 hours and a valid esthetic license.
  • Prior experience in massage, facial, waxing, and body treatments.
  • Experience in customer service, preferably within a spa or hotel environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability during operational hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly for moving objects.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds may be required.
