Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to oversee pre-sale and post-sale support, ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • Partner with sales and service teams to execute the Go-to-Market strategy for GC/MS products.
  • Engage directly with clients on chemical detection and analysis utilizing GC/MS, offering assistance with method development, application, data analysis, and interpretation, including support for reviewing customer-generated data.
  • Work alongside a team of method and application development scientists to provide support to both internal and external clients.
  • Provide insights to marketing and R&D regarding necessary application, hardware, and software features to remain competitive in the evolving market.
  • Exhibit the ability to cultivate and maintain positive and productive working relationships across diverse groups.
  • Make informed, objective decisions; understand the consequences of decisions; and commit to actions that align with organizational objectives, even in uncertain circumstances.
  • Balance customer demands with effective business management, adeptly matching resources to tasks to fulfill business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in GC/MS method and application development is highly preferred.
  • Experience with GC/MS sample preparation methods across all phases of matter is strongly preferred.
  • Proven customer support experience in chemical analysis and data interpretation.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation using GC/MS.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies and applications in chemical analysis.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Aptitude for understanding and conveying scientific concepts, applications, and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a results-driven, commercial environment.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams, along with potential and existing clients, to identify and implement GC/MS solutions for complex chemical detection and analysis challenges.
  • Engage with clients to develop application protocols and optimize methods for integrating GC/MS products into new market opportunities and enhancing existing applications.
  • Author technical documents, procedures, and bulletins on the utilization of GC/MS products for field and laboratory applications.
  • Utilize expertise to present and train others on best practices and effective use of GC/MS.
  • Experience in chemical analysis of sample mixtures in vapor, liquid, and solid states.
