Senior Structural Design Leader

Job Overview
">The Senior Structural Design Leader will oversee the development of world-class structural designs for new projects, renovations, and redevelopments across various sectors, including power generation, industrial manufacturing, corporate facilities, healthcare institutions, pipelines, government buildings, and military installations. This role involves leading design project teams to create innovative solutions that meet client needs and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
">- Lead the conceptual phase through design completion, ensuring project requirements are met and collaborating with project managers to establish project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Prepare and present technical reports for clients, detailing packaged equipment specifications, request for qualifications, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
- Review vendor drawings, interface with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Develop project schedules, scopes, budgets, and staffing plans, as well as construction planning and management of change orders.
- Apply expert knowledge of commonly used structural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the structural engineering services industry.
- Collaborate with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, and field investigations.
Qualifications
">- Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering or a related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- Or Bachelor of Science in Structural or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- 7 years of structural engineering experience, with EPC project experience being highly desirable.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) is preferred.
- Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures, as well as strong computer skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead large projects and delegate tasks to team members.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
Educational Requirements
">A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Estimated Salary Range
">$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
