Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our team at Grow Through Life Counseling. As a key member of our outpatient mental health team, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care to patients in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based techniques and approaches to address a range of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients, including coordination of services and referrals as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in the field.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as counseling or psychology.
  • Current licensure as a therapist in the state of California.
  • At least 2 years of experience in outpatient mental health settings, with a focus on working with diverse populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and other software applications relevant to the role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with military families or in a similar context.
  • Knowledge of childhood mental health disorders and ability to provide supportive care.
  • Fluency in a second language, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Previous experience in providing substitute supervision or leadership roles.
