As a Physical Therapist, you will undertake supervisory responsibilities and assessments of patients, aiding them in enhancing fundamental motor skills and cognitive abilities. You will also assist in compensating for permanent functional loss by instructing them on how to execute tasks in their daily living and work environments, in alignment with Concentra Medical Centers' Injury Process Management and our philosophy of rehabilitation in occupational medicine.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the provision of high-quality patient care services
Conduct direct patient evaluations, including assessments of muscular, skeletal, neurological, and other physical conditions
Promote and support multidisciplinary coordination of treatment
Guarantee accurate documentation of patient care
Uphold professional standards through adherence to quality assurance policies/procedures and relevant regulations and corporate policies
Facilitate effective communication with departmental staff, medical personnel, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and the delivery of superior service and optimal patient care
Exhibit effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Inform the Administrator of departmental issues, needs, and solutions promptly
Design, implement, and interpret specific physical therapy treatment programs for patients to support their recovery and achieve maximum physical potential
Educate patients on the proper care and utilization of supports and exercise programs
Administer or delegate patient treatments, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and hydrotherapy
Adhere to appropriate documentation and reporting protocols
Secure prescriptions for each patient treated
Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive service delivery and quality patient care
Assist marketing personnel with tours as required
Take necessary precautions to safeguard center assets and property against loss or waste due to negligence or dishonesty
Engage in professional development by attending center meetings and external educational seminars
Communicate with the Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or the Case Manager for each patient
Provide updates regarding patients' objective progress, program compliance, attendance at scheduled appointments, and estimated discharge timelines from therapy
Participate in the clinical instruction of university occupational therapy and/or occupational therapist assistant students
Contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the rehabilitation quality management process and assist in developing new and improved processes
Ensure compliance with regulations established by relevant licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Master's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program is preferred
Job-Related Experience
Typically, a new graduate to at least five years of demonstrated experience in an orthopedic setting utilizing modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment
Experience in outpatient orthopedics is preferred

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $83,883 to $95,000 salary depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience, geographic location where the work is performed, and/or seniority.
