Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team at Area Wide Protective (AWP). As a Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our shop and yard, ensuring that all equipment is serviced and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain company equipment, vehicles, and inventory to ensure they are in working order and meet the company's highest standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers dropping off or picking up equipment, ensuring a positive experience and building strong relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory levels.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and organized shop and yard, adhering to company standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid state driver's license and DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
