Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Training Specialist to join our team at Memorial Hospital of Laramie County. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will be responsible for providing formalized system training for EPIC and other operational information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver effective training programs for staff on EPIC and other operational information systems.
  • Provide documented step-by-step guides and tip sheets to support staff learning.
  • Perform quality reviews of staff work to identify training needs and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and administer competency exams to ensure staff meet system proficiency requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to develop action plans for improvement and ensure system changes do not negatively impact other areas.
  • Communicate routine updates to staff on system issues, upgrades, and changes in process.
  • Assist with staffing needs, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and hiring.
  • Track and report staff quality review scores as requested.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as needed.
Departmental Responsibilities

Patient Access: Develop and revise Patient Access forms, provide training on usage, and review E-Check in requirements to reduce registration times.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher and two (2) or more years of job-related experience.
  • OR, Certificate in billing or coding and three (3) or more years of job-related experience.
  • OR, Four (4) or more years of experience as a trainer or educator.
  • OR, High School diploma and six (6) or more years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Epic applications.
  • Experience in adult learning.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
