Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of multiple departments to meet productivity standards.
  • Organize and maintain accurate inventory of over 1,000 unique SKUs.
  • Coordinate the movement of product between the Charter Street and Phillipi Road Distribution Centers.
  • Direct leads and associates to resolve operational issues.
  • Direct seasonal/temporary associates on unloading containers.
  • Oversee the direct or indirect training of leads and associates.
  • Conduct annual employee performance evaluations on direct reports.
  • Champion corporate policy and culture.
  • Champion communication between multiple buildings, internal departments, and individuals.
  • Understand the flow of product as it is processed throughout the facility.
  • Execute change initiatives championed by superiors.
  • Generate ideas for process and personnel changes that may impact the operation.
  • Understand and oversee corporate security policies and practices, including building security and other loss prevention activities.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day, lift at least 50 lbs. and bend 50% of the day while stacking or pulling product on a skid or from shelves.
  • Organize and direct work in all areas and determine workforce needs.
  • Enforce all Distribution Center policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and assist in areas outside of regular area when necessary.
  • Support safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Participate in training as needed.
  • Equipment used: forklift, skids, pallet jacks, computer systems, RF Scanner and general office equipment.
