Position: Youth Support Specialist at Hale Kipa

Hale Kipa is committed to empowering young individuals to achieve their fullest potential and make a positive impact in their communities. We have been serving the youth of Hawai'i through various initiatives and services. We are currently seeking Youth Support Specialists to join our dedicated team and assist youth aged 12-17 in challenging situations at our Emergency Shelter Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee crisis situations and ensure a secure environment for youth
  • Facilitate youth engagement in organized activities
  • Support emotional processing and establish boundaries
  • Conduct intake procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders and parents/guardians

Work Schedule:

  • Weekdays: 7:30am - 3:00pm or 2:30pm - 10:30pm
  • Weekends: 8:45am - 10:30pm
  • Overnight shifts are available

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in youth engagement preferred
  • Valid driver's license is necessary
