Job Title: Registered Nurse I

Join the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) team as a Registered Nurse I in our Cardiovascular Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse I provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process. This role requires delivering safe and effective care and interacting with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, LVADs, and vascular surgery patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
Work Environment:
