We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Lab Manager to join the Ferris Lab in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina.

The Lab Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting and overseeing the daily operations of the lab, ensuring the smooth execution of research projects, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

This individual will be responsible for a range of activities, including conducting research, providing logistical support, protocol management, data organization and analysis, and contributing to the preparation of grants and publications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with database and specimen management, possess expertise in both wet lab and dry lab skills, and have prior experience with lab management duties in an immunology lab environment.

Additionally, the candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills to assist in grant writing and proposal development, as well as experience training and/or supervising others in a lab setting.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Lab Manager to join the Ferris Lab in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

This lab investigates mechanisms of anti-tumor immunity in the microenvironment, as well as immune escape mechanisms developed by tumor cells to evade NK and T cells elimination.

Ferris's lab also studies immune checkpoint receptors and cellular immune mechanisms of anti-tumor responses and immunotherapy in phase I and phase II clinical trials, as well as correlative studies of immune markers in the serum and tumor microenvironment.
