About the Role

Insight Global Healthcare is seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an outpatient setting or ICU/ER background with critical thinking and fast-paced experience. You will be responsible for assessing patient and family needs, providing education and support, preparing and administering therapies under the direction of a physician, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient care and treatments provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient and family needs, develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques
  • Prepare and administer medications, therapies, and other interventions as directed by physicians
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatments provided
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in oncology or infusion settings
  • RN TX License and BLS Certification required
  • Good IV skills, experience accessing port devices, and ability to work independently
  • OCN Certification a plus
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off. The estimated salary for this role is around $92,500 per year based on the location and industry standards.

Work Environment

This is a 13-week contract position with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role. You will be working Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, with no weekends or major holidays. Our office is located at 1200 Brooklyn Ave., Suite 115, San Antonio, TX 78212.
