Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger details, inventory, revenue recognition, payroll, and fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local government reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and report significant budget differences to management.
  • Oversee and assist in the production of monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with month-end close experience.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP.
