Position Summary:

As a vital member of the Grounds Maintenance team, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations and maintenance of the facilities at Cooperstown All Star Village.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operate various equipment related to grounds upkeep, including tractors, utility vehicles, forklifts, and golf carts.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all facilities and surfaces to ensure safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal for both players and visitors.
  • Recognize and address issues in routine preventive maintenance across multiple areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, irrigation, landscaping, and paved areas.
  • Exhibit a high standard of professionalism while delivering exceptional service to both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Engage in training and show a proactive attitude to uphold the standards associated with the Cooperstown All Star Village brand.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to effectively meet objectives while creating memorable experiences for all participants.

Qualifications Required:

  • Completion of High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience or a keen interest in a career in Facilities or Grounds Maintenance.
  • Possess a friendly demeanor and strong communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate initiative and high energy levels.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Good time management capabilities.
  • Willingness to work varied hours, including days, nights, and weekends, as required by operational needs.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of lifting weights up to 70 pounds.
  • May encounter dust and dirt during work.
  • May be subjected to extreme weather conditions.
