Data Migration Consultant

Sigmaways Inc is seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Consultant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, implement, and review complex data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
  • Develop software from established requirements, build reports and dashboards, plan and coordinate work with fellow programmers to meet delivery commitments.
  • Design, develop, modify, test, and automate data warehouse and business intelligence applications solutions.
  • Develop transition and implementation plans, recommend changes in development, maintenance, and standards.
  • Contribute to the design of technology infrastructure and configurations, and recommend process improvements.
  • Review complex patches and new versions of data warehouse applications, implement complex software packages, and deploy code.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, and software engineering.
  • Data Engineer person with data services and data migration experience on AWS.
  • Migrating on-Prem to AWS.
  • Collibra is mandatory.
  • Hands-on person with experience with data migration from various databases.
  • Understanding of data migration services.
  • Good understanding of Terraform and IAC.
  • Java or Python is preferred.
  • Experience using core AWS services to build and support data warehouse solutions leveraging AWS architecture best practices (S3, DMS, Glue, Lambda).
  • Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS.
  • Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS (GitLab, Terraform, DBMaestro).
  • Ability to apply a basic understanding of cloud-native applications to write code.
  • Experience working on an Agile team.
