Job Title: Associate Mechanical Design Engineer - Suspension

At PACCAR, we are seeking a highly skilled Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the development of heavy-duty truck suspensions. As a key member of our Core Suspension group, you will be responsible for participating in the design and development of suspension systems that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop suspension systems for heavy-duty trucks, including front and rear suspensions, axles, brakes, and other related components.
  • Manage suspension-related projects from cradle to grave, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with internal and external organizations to validate designs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize Creo to create optimized parts and assemblies of complex designs, and work with internal and external organizations to validate the designs.
  • Work through the Product Creation Process utilizing Tollgate to manage projects and report updates, and apply Six Sigma skills to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • BSME degree required; Masters degree in business or engineering and P.E. certificate preferred.
  • 0-1 years of experience in the specification and design of complex automotive components or related experience required.
  • Proficiency using Creo or other solids modeling software preferred.
  • Past experience working onsite at a PACCAR facility preferred.
