Power Generation Field Service Technician

Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, is seeking an experienced Power Generation Field Service Technician to join our team in Sterling, Virginia. This individual will be responsible for performing skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls of power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls of power generation equipment
  • Commitment to safety and cleanliness
  • Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
  • Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
  • Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
  • Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
  • Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
  • This position requires occasional driving
