Sushi Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Corporate Management Group. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes in accordance with food health and safety regulations and restaurant standards.

• Food Preparation: Expertly cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish, inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes, and informing the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard.
• Sushi Dish Preparation: Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Inventory Management: Regularly taking inventory of food supplies and other products, and reporting any problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
• Customer Service: Communicating with wait staff to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met.

• Education: High school diploma or GED, and an associate's degree in culinary arts or American Culinary Federation (ACF) certification is preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience working in upscale sushi restaurants.
• Licenses and Certifications: Valid food handler's license, and sound knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Skills: The ability to work under pressure, stand for long periods of time, and possess excellent time-management and customer service skills.
