We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Nurse to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgical teams.

As an RNFA, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, performing tasks such as preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. You will also have the opportunity to circulate, scrub, and perform other duties as needed.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric populations, and will be required to act in the absence of a qualified physician when necessary.

Requirements
  • Certified in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR)
  • Successful completion of NLN/BRN approved course in surgical first assisting
  • Three years' experience in an acute operating room setting
  • California Registered Nurse license
  • American Heart Association Certification

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.
