As a Certified Anesthesia Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in the perioperative team, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient surgical processes. This exciting opportunity requires a skilled professional with expertise in anesthesia equipment management, sterile technique, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with anesthesiologists to develop and implement anesthesia plans of care for diverse patient populations.
- Set up, apply, and assist with anesthesia-related equipment, including non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, induction of anesthesia, and fiberoptic intubation.
- Respond promptly to code situations, such as Code Blue and Code Pink, as part of the anesthesia care team.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Cultivate strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgeons.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, manage workload, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Degree: Graduate of an Accredited program in Anesthesia Technology or certified by ASATT as a Technologist.
- Licenses/Certifications: I.V. Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Anesthesia Technician Certificate from ASATT, Basic Life Support.
- Experience: Strong background in anesthesia technology, preferably in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center.
