Key Responsibilities

  • Support physicians in delivering care and education to patients in an inpatient environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a master's degree in nursing or a post-master's nurse practitioner certificate.
  • Current licensure/registration to practice in Florida, with prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
  • Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the Oncology Nurses Certification Corporation (ONCC).
  • BLS certification required.
  • Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse populations, including physicians, staff, patients, and families.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide others towards achieving patient care objectives.
  • Analytical skills to assess patient conditions, healthcare procedures, and monitor the quality of care.
  • Financial acumen to oversee and manage costs and revenues.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in all duties.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.

Screening Requirements

Ensuring the safety of our patients and staff is paramount. All employment offers at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute are contingent upon successful completion of a thorough background screening. Additionally, new hires are required to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, unless an exemption is approved. Florida Cancer Specialists is a drug-free workplace, and all new hires will undergo drug and nicotine testing.
