Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough medical history evaluations, physical examinations, and relevant diagnostic tests.
  • Work in partnership with the supervising physician to develop accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment strategies.
  • Continuously monitor and modify treatment plans based on patient progress, feedback, and evolving medical conditions.
  • Inform and motivate patients regarding the advantages of lifestyle modifications, encouraging them to actively participate in their health management.
  • Provide clear, detailed explanations of treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes to patients and their families.
  • Ensure precise and current electronic medical records (EMRs) for all patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to guarantee coordinated patient care and to enhance operational systems, workflows, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in rheumatology and lifestyle medicine through ongoing education, attending professional conferences, and engaging in development activities.
  • Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications pertinent to your role and jurisdiction.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • Valid Florida state licensure and/or registration as a Nurse Practitioner, adhering to local regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Exceptional clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing EMRs and medical software.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
  • Prior experience in rheumatology is preferred.
