We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a critical care registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, autonomous care to critically ill pediatric patients in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, autonomous care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, licensed independent practitioners, respiratory therapists, and critical care technicians.
- Manage complex patient cases with the highest acuity levels, ensuring optimal care and safety.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay at the forefront of pediatric critical care.
- Float to different units within the PICU service line as needed.
- 2 years of inpatient pediatric ICU experience.
- Physical requirements include ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
- Competitive pay in line with local and national travel RN rates.
- Pay rates are reviewed quarterly and adjusted based on market trends.
- For assignments more than 50 miles from the employee's home, a weekly living stipend will be provided.
