Image Compression Specialist Job Description

Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced Image Compression Specialist to join our Reality Labs Silicon team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in image/video compression and processing, as well as expertise in C++ programming language.

About the Position

In this role, you will work closely with our algorithm, software, architecture, digital design, digital verification, firmware, pre-silicon platforms, and emulation experts to develop and implement image/video compression and processing IPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement image/video compression and processing IPs
  • Build and enhance the image/video quality assessment framework: objective and subjective evaluation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in image/video compression and processing
  • Expertise in C++ programming language
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
