Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Houston Methodist Hospital. As a nurse clinician, you will provide high-quality patient care and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

This position requires a licensed staff nurse with advanced clinical skills and experience working in a healthcare setting. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, leading interprofessional teams, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level nursing care to patients, including assessing their needs, developing plans of care, and implementing treatments.
  • Lead and mentor nurses, providing guidance on clinical practice and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and developing solutions.
  • Participate in education and training programs, staying current on best practices and emerging trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Two years of nursing experience in a healthcare environment, with one year in the clinical field for which you will be working.
  • Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
  • Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification (ANCC).
  • Demonstrated expertise in operating the electronic medical record.

Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
