Position Overview:
As a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist at PACS Inc, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians within a timely manner. Your expertise will be essential in developing tailored treatment plans that align with physician directives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Patient Evaluation:** Assess patients promptly following physician referrals, ensuring that any delays are documented clearly in medical records.
2. **Treatment Planning:** Formulate effective treatment strategies and secure necessary approvals from referring physicians.
3. **Patient Care:** Implement treatment plans as prescribed, while supervising Speech Language Pathologist Assistants in their patient care activities, adhering to state regulations.
4. **Collaboration:** Maintain open communication with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress and treatment adjustments.
5. **Documentation:** Accurately record evaluations, daily treatment notes, and progress updates in compliance with state practice acts and payer requirements.
6. **Family Involvement:** Educate patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training to facilitate successful discharges.
7. **Clinical Education:** Serve as a clinical preceptor for Speech Language Pathology students and fellows, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications:
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology is required; preference for candidates with a Master’s or Doctorate degree.
- **Licensure:** Must hold a valid Speech Therapist license in the state and meet ongoing education requirements.
- **Skills:** Proficient in relevant software applications and possess strong communication and mathematical skills.

Physical Requirements:
This role demands frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move objects weighing over 100 pounds occasionally. Candidates should be capable of performing various physical tasks as needed.

Work Environment:
The position is typically situated in a low to moderate noise environment, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
