About the Role:
Easter Seals Blake Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Consultant to join our team. As a Mental Health Consultant, you will provide program services that reflect the philosophy of our department, promoting mental health and resilience in early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance plans to support participants, children, and staff.
- Develop intervention strategies utilizing a team approach to assist staff in developing positive behavior support strategies.
- Collaborate with child care providers, families, directors, managers, and other team members to build their knowledge and skills.
- Provide group and individual training on overall social and emotional wellness.
- Support early care and education providers to communicate with parents regarding mental health, behavioral, or developmental concerns.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of community resources and referrals.
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion in setting daily priorities.
- Sensitivity towards and provision of services that honor linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual, and role differences.
- Adherence to EBF Core Values, the Codes of Ethics of National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
