The Registered Respiratory Therapist is expected to embody the mission and standards of conduct of University Hospitals. This role involves performing essential respiratory therapy tasks with minimal oversight. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring patient conditions

General Requirements:

  • Referencing departmental documentation for specific responsibilities during orientation.
  • Ensuring the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with training and policies.
Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
  • Valid license to practice respiratory therapy in Ohio.

Preferred Experience:

This position is primarily focused on the special care nursery, laboring women, and assisting with infant resuscitation during deliveries. Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and be present for deliveries. The work schedule consists of day shifts from Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays. There will be 25% travel to the main campus for skill maintenance.

Incentives:

New employees working 35 hours or more will be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, distributed as follows: $3,000 after 90 days of employment and $7,000 after one year, contingent on performance.
