Job Description

As a key member of our team at Torrington Savings Bank, the Customer Service Representative III plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our branches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process a wide range of transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Answer complex customer queries and provide accurate information.
  • Handle cash and maintain a cashbox, as well as operate a cash recycler.
  • Contribute to branch goal achievement through sales, referrals, and retention of account relationships.
  • Identify customer needs and effectively sell and cross-sell products and services.
  • Ability to open all deposit accounts and take Residential and Consumer Loan applications.
  • Obtain Notary Public and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively work in a team environment and contribute to the successful execution of a Branch Business plan.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of college or higher education completed or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years in a Customer Service/Sales role.
  • Prior Retail Banking experience and knowledge of Branch Operations preferred.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Effective listener and communicator.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions, following bank guidelines.

Work Environment:

The Customer Service Representative III will work in a busy office environment with moderate noise levels. The ideal candidate will be able to focus and not be easily distracted, and will be able to sit for at least 70% of the workday.
