Position Summary:
The Certified Clinical Support Specialist plays a vital role in delivering clinical assistance to designated patients under the guidance of a licensed medical professional or registered nurse. This position also encompasses administrative support within the healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizes and prepares examination and treatment areas, ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are available.
- Assists in preparing patients for medical consultations and examinations as instructed.
- Records and monitors patients' vital signs accurately in their medical records.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the operation and maintenance of specialized medical equipment.
- Conducts diagnostic tests such as EKGs, pulmonary function tests, audiometry, and Titmus tests, following a thorough evaluation checklist.
- Performs laboratory tests including urine drug screenings, breath alcohol tests, and phlebotomy as required, adhering to performance evaluation protocols.
- Maintains accurate patient records and files documentation as directed.
- Assists with billing and collection processes as necessary.
- Utilizes healthcare software to manage office operations efficiently.
- Ensures confidentiality and addresses any related concerns appropriately.
- Recognizes and adapts to the diverse needs of the patient population, providing tailored care that considers factors such as age, culture, and language.
This includes effective communication with patients, guardians, and primary caregivers at an appropriate level of understanding.
Additional Duties:
Performs other tasks and projects as assigned. Adheres to the organizational competencies and standards of conduct established by the company.
