Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Behavior Health Technician to join our team at Freeman Health Partners.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, educating, and assisting patients in daily activities within our PHP and IOP programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor patients for current needs, adherence to policies & procedures, and recovery-related issues.
  2. Maintain a healthy and recovery-focused patient milieu.
  3. Facilitate recovery-oriented support groups.
  4. Assist with meal preps as needed.
  5. Support patients in attaining mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual recovery.
  6. Provide patients with validation, support, and assistance.
  7. Witness patients' self-administration of non-narcotic medications, as needed.
  8. Ensure the facility is neat and free of any fire or safety hazards, per FRC policies & procedures.
  9. Record groups and patient updates in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  10. Report vital signs & assessment flow sheets, if needed.
  11. Attend staff meetings and any required trainings.
  12. Interact appropriately and professionally with all patients, visitors, and family members.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patients, upholding HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 at all times.

Requirements:

  1. GED or High School Diploma preferred.
  2. Experience working in recovery or mental health and substance abuse treatment preferred.
  3. CPRS designation highly preferred.
  4. CPR, First Aid/AED certification (provided by FRC, if needed) required.
  5. This is a drug-free workplace. Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
