LPN Inpatient Rehab Days Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our Inpatient Rehab Days team, you will provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
  • May administer medication.
  • Document patient care given.
  • Assist RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse by the State of Tennessee.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days.
  • Licenses: LPN License for the State of Tennessee.
