Role Overview
The Facilities Operations Leader will oversee the management of our Hillsboro campus, which encompasses semiconductor and component assembly functions. This role is responsible for organizing and supervising the maintenance and repair of the facility, grounds, and machinery within our Hillsboro operations. We seek a driven leader with a successful history in facilities management, particularly in overseeing modification and expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage facilities operations for the Hillsboro campus, including semiconductor and component assembly activities. Serve as a subject matter expert on plant systems and equipment control.
- Oversee planning and general contracting for projects involving cleanrooms, HVAC systems, Ultrapure/DI water, Fire/Life Safety Systems, and chemical delivery/waste systems.
- Develop and enhance specifications and accountability systems related to equipment and utilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while liaising with local authorities or suppliers as necessary.
- Supervise repair and preventive maintenance for facilities and equipment.
- Manage daily facility operations and address any escalated issues effectively.
- Establish and implement new maintenance strategies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Forecast and manage the operational budget and timeline for facility modifications.
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, and risks related to campus space allocation and equipment layout for future growth.
- Support and lead campus-wide safety initiatives.
- Ensure all activities are executed safely, adhering strictly to company safety policies and programs.
- Supervise one Facilities Technician, providing direction, training, delegating tasks, coordinating schedules, and monitoring performance while taking appropriate corrective actions in collaboration with leadership and HR.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering as needed to maintain equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred skills in Lean Principles.
- Familiarity with Facility Explorer monitoring systems is advantageous.
- Experience in managing projects, including site modifications and expansions.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building capabilities are essential.
- Demonstrated skills in budgeting and cost management.
- Ability to perform and mentor routine maintenance procedures on plant facility systems.
- Solid understanding of troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to investigate and lead solutions to manufacturing constraints.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Capability to obtain ERT certification as part of the Facilities Engineering team.
- Willingness to participate in the safety committee.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Contribute to the development or enhancement of existing business system methods/documentation as a key member of an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization.
Salary based on qualifications:
- Facilities Operations Leader $83,000 - $119,000
- Target Cash Bonus of 5% of your wages
- Eligible for Restricted Stock Unit grants
- 3 weeks of Paid Time Off per year, increasing by 1 day each year up to 4 weeks
