Job Title: Claims Trainee

CNA Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Claims Trainee to join our team. As a Claims Trainee, you will be responsible for handling and resolving low complexity commercial claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve claims according to company protocols and quality standards.
  • Develop a working knowledge of commercial insurance and learn to manage an inventory of low complexity claims.
  • Interact professionally and effectively with insureds, claimants, and business partners to achieve quality and cycle time standards.
  • Verify coverage and establish timely and adequate reserves by reviewing and interpreting policy language.
  • Determine liability and compensability by conducting investigations and gathering pertinent information.
  • Work with internal and external partners to facilitate best claim outcomes.
  • Authorize claim disbursements within authority limits and meet or exceed quality standards on every file.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong desire to develop a wide breadth of knowledge and understanding of the commercial insurance industry.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • Ability to develop collaborative business relationships and exercise independent judgement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn business-related software.
