About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist I to join our team at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, GA. As a key member of our clinical nutrition team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nutrition care to patients and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nutrition care to patients in an acute care setting, utilizing the Nutrition Care Process and demonstrating strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments, counseling, and education to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research, guidelines, and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nutrition or related field, with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
