Job Title: License Center Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused License Center Specialist to join our team at Blue Earth County, MN. As a key member of our License Center, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to the public, ensuring efficient and effective processing of licenses, registrations, and titles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Process licenses, registrations, titles, and identification cards, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Reconcile records and cash drawers, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare, complete, and submit daily and monthly reports, providing valuable insights and data to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records, including birth, marriage, and death records, and issue and process appropriate forms.
  • Handle payment of fees, record transactions, issue receipts, deposit fees, and reconcile records department-wide.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of customer service/clerical experience, including greeting the public, handling phone calls, answering questions, and troubleshooting customer problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in an environment that exposes you to angry, emotional, or upset individuals, and/or those who use foul language or exhibit offensive behavior.
