Job Summary:

The ARcare Center for Education and Wellness is seeking a qualified School Age Paraprofessional to join our team. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and education of elementary students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing lessons and activities to enhance all areas of each child's development.
  • Participate in classroom, playground, and walking field trip activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Support the implementation of program requirements, including lessons, daily and routine activities, professional development opportunities, and staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to plan, organize, and implement position responsibilities effectively.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
  • Communicate effectively with others using the spoken and written word.
  • Make critical decisions while following company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Age 21 years or older preferred and must have a high school diploma or higher.
  • An associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Verifiable experience (2 years) working with children and families is preferred.
  • Experience working in a team setting.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize word processing, electronic data entry systems, and other office and classroom equipment.
  • Must be able to pass both a Child Maltreatment check, Arkansas State Police background check, and National FBI Fingerprint check as required by Arkansas Minimum Licensing for Child Care Centers.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time job located in McCrory (3:30-5:30 M-F). Applicants may assist at other education center locations as needed during school breaks.
