Position Overview

As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will oversee the operations of our outpatient pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and laws governing pharmacy practice. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of patient satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction through effective communication and counseling on medication therapy.
  • Operational Management: Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including managing pharmacy staff and ensuring accurate dispensing of medications.
  • Compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including DHEC, DEA, and SC BOP.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, optimize purchasing strategies, and oversee recall management to maintain supply chain integrity.
  • Staff Development: Train and mentor pharmacy personnel, fostering professional growth and ensuring competency in their roles.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on prescriptions and monitor for potential drug interactions and adverse reactions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to enhance medication management and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
  • Experience: Proven experience in retail pharmacy management.
  • Licensure: Must possess a current pharmacy license in South Carolina or be eligible for licensure.
