Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Manager to facilitate day-to-day operations, including onboarding staff, supporting the hiring process, inventory management, logistical support, payroll, and Human Resources issues. The successful candidate will have a commitment to teamwork, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail. This is a hybrid position that requires a physical presence in the local office and occasional travel across Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with in-state hiring, including phone screens, scheduling and conducting interviews, and verifying references.
  • Order, store, track, and organize office supplies, PPE, COVID tests, and equipment, ensuring equipment is returned at the end of the election.
  • Assist state leadership and HQ to track and monitor expenses and outgoing disbursements, including invoices from vendors and contractors, check and wire requests, and credit card payments.
  • Update internal operation procedures documents as needed.
  • Manage and resolve operational issues.
  • Store, file, and retrieve corporate documents and reports as needed.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing letters and packages.
  • Perform general office administrative and clerical duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Understanding of the general progressive landscape at the local and state level, with a preference for Wisconsin.
  • Experience managing staff and/or interns is preferred.
  • Familiarity with grant management, electoral compliance, and/or non-profit tax law budget implications is a plus.
  • Basic computer literacy and database skills are required, with familiarity with G-Suite and Google Sheets preferred.
  • Reliable access to a functioning computer and internet access is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail is required.
  • Multi-tasking and excellent time management skills are necessary, with the ability to hit deadlines.
  • A solutions-oriented approach, with a willingness to take initiative and juggle multiple priorities, is essential.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in high-pressure situations is required.
