Engineering Director

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team of process engineers in driving innovation and excellence in advanced manufacturing processes.
Job Overview:In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding a team of process engineers responsible for advanced manufacturing processes. You will be the key liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring that product specifications are met with precision and continuous improvement initiatives are prioritized.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the main point of contact for technical requirements, ensuring customer specifications are communicated and understood internally.
- Foster a creative environment that encourages problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Lead initiatives aimed at product yield improvements, cost reductions, and process variations.
- Manage the design and standards of tooling and product parts, ensuring seamless New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Oversee the plants productivity plan, scrap reduction efforts, and initiatives to meet performance targets.
- Collaborate across various departments and locations to promote communication, streamline processes, and eliminate silos.
- Mentor and coach both junior and senior engineering associates, preparing them for future success.
- Optimize core design in partnership with both internal and external engineering teams.
- Lead and participate in meetings focused on product improvement and cross-team alignment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in product engineering and/or 5 years or tooling.
- Expertise in strategic planning.
- Strong adaptability and the ability to pivot swiftly to handle change and unexpected challenges.
- Experience in high-precision manufacturing.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to meet engineering and business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale initiatives, such as New Product Introduction (NPI) and scrap reduction plans.
