Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist 1st Shift to join our team at Parker Hannifin Corporation Parker Aerospace Group. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for operating production machines, performing quality control checks, and participating in lean initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production machines to manufacture high-quality parts, utilizing blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure parts meet specifications, using measuring instruments, gages, and comparators.
  • Participate in lean initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Perform minor machine adjustments and report any issues for correction.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of general or related machining experience.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
  • General working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry calculations.
  • Ability to apply lean initiatives and demonstrate effective written and verbal communication.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions
  • Walk, sit, stand for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity and use of hands to operate machinery.
  • Demonstrate vision ability to look up close at items.
  • Regular attendance on-site, and ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
