Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy storage and data protection technologies in both MITRE Data Centers and Cloud services.
  • Establish best practices, compliance standards, and security controls for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and highly available solutions.
  • Conduct storage data analytics, reporting, and visualization to inform infrastructure decisions.
  • Provide end-to-end support for enterprise storage and data protection solutions.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in data infrastructure technology, including at least 5 years of designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade storage and backup solutions.
  • Strong background in data lifecycle management, encompassing data architectures, storage, integrations, maintenance, migrations, transfers, and archival.
  • Ability to conduct storage data analytics, reporting, and visualization.
  • Experience in delivering scalable and highly available solutions, familiarity with various HA and DR techniques.
  • Lead research and assessment of new technologies, hardware, software, services, and implementation processes.
  • Effectively tackle complex technical challenges, communicate concepts clearly, and negotiate technical solutions across teams.
  • Develop and upkeep documentation for processes and system configurations.
  • Experience in collaborating on broad enterprise IT capabilities from multiple vendors.
  • Proficient in managing and tracking work progress, providing regular status updates, and offering constructive feedback.
  • Must hold an Active Secret Clearance, and have the ability to acquire a TS clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of block, file, object, and archival storage technologies like Pure, Cleversafe, and NetApp, and data protection solutions such as Commvault.
  • Familiarity with cloud storage and archival services from platforms such as AWS, Azure Files, and GCP.
  • Experience in infrastructure automation, configuration management frameworks, and scripting languages like Ansible, Chef, Python, Ruby, Terraform, PowerShell, etc.
  • Hold a CompTIA Security+ or similar security certification.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a Secret Clearance, with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance within one year of hire.
