Purpose and Scope

The Part-Time Coordinator II, Professional Development and Educational Services plays a crucial role in facilitating daily operations within the assigned area. This position is responsible for coordinating support functions such as scheduling, communications, workflows, supplies, information processing, and staff support. Additionally, the coordinator may be responsible for coordinating the budget planning process and tracking and coordinating budget expenditures. The coordinator must make and communicate process decisions based on best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate daily operations of assigned area, maintaining accurate records and staying current with knowledge of the area.
  2. Schedule and prioritize work and activities, organizing training materials for staff as needed.
  3. Create and submit various reports related to assigned area, presenting findings and making presentations to internal and external customers.
  4. Coordinate department and leadership calendars and schedules, planning, scheduling, and coordinating meetings, seminars, and events.
  5. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations within assigned area.
  6. Monitor and control resources such as office supplies and equipment needed within the department.
  7. Assist with creating methods of evaluation for assigned area, analyzing results, and making recommendations for revisions to objectives and strategies.
  8. Support the management of the department budget and participate in special projects as needed.

  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.

  • Ability to prepare and analyze reports.

Work Environment

The work is sedentary, with the employee typically sitting comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
