Department Overview:
The College of Nursing at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is newly established to address the critical nursing shortage in Texas. This initiative aims to enhance the nursing workforce in a region that is experiencing significant growth and demand for healthcare professionals.

Position Summary:
The College of Nursing is inviting applications for various faculty roles. The selected candidates will be responsible for teaching, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to the university and the nursing profession. Positions are available at multiple ranks and may include tenure-track or non-tenure track options based on qualifications.

Essential Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline, or a Master's degree depending on rank.
- Valid nursing license in Texas or eligibility for licensure.
- Proven track record of excellence in undergraduate teaching.
- Established record of scholarly research and publications in nursing or related areas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues and students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses in areas of expertise.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching, research, and service.
  • Participate actively in the nursing community through professional organizations and outreach initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of nursing curricula and programs.
  • Serve on departmental and university committees.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to nursing students.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
  • Engage in research activities in nursing or related fields.
  • Develop and update course materials in alignment with departmental standards.
