About the Role

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech and Language Specialist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.

The successful candidate will provide in-patient and/or out-patient services on a part-time basis, focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function, and prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness, and injury.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, treat, and provide home programming for children with feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, and fluency, as well as receptive/expressive language disorders.
  • Provide aural rehabilitation/auditory verbal therapy for hearing loss or cochlear implant and evaluation for augmentative communication devices.
  • Patient and caregiver education and consultation to other professionals, clinics, and agencies within Cook Children's Health Care System and the community.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Speech-language pathologist (SLP) license in Texas or license eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech/Language Pathology or eligible for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $46.35/hour + shift differential.
