As a Cardiac Sonographer at John Muir Health, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels
- Conduct echocardiograms, vascular studies, and other diagnostic tests to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain tests and results, and provide emotional support as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and provide patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical technologies and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training
- Completion of a Cardiac Sonography Program
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to type 60 WPM with minimal errors
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
