Job Summary

A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a skilled medical professional responsible for providing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and implement patient care plans to ensure safe and effective imaging procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technologies and techniques
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration required
  • 8 years of experience as a US technologist (sonographer)

ECU Health North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility serving Halifax, Northampton, and Warren counties in the north-central region of North Carolina.
